Worshipful Company of Water Conservators
We are pleased to announce once again this year an award to the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Plymouth from London livery company the .
The award is to support a student enrolling on our masters programmes in Environmental Consultancy, Sustainable Environmental Management, Environmental and Engineering Geology, or Environmental Geochemistry. The award is £4000 to cover half of the University fee, with the remaining £1000 available for dissertation expenses incurred by students beyond those normally covered by the school.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a placement and dissertation in the broad area of water science and management and may be required to attend or present at a Worshipful Company of Water Conservators event.
To be eligible for the award you must have a good degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. environmental science, ecology, biology, geography, chemistry, international relations, social science, business, agricultural sciences, archaeology, etc ) and a demonstrated interest in water science and management. Check with the Programme Lead if you are unsure about the eligibility of your subject background. The successful student must also have right to permanently live and work in the UK.
If you wish to apply for the award, you must submit a 500 word 'essay' on the 'Challenges for the water industry in the 21st century' alongside your application for the masters.
