Plymouth is globally recognised for its outstanding marine offer, and the ambitious plans for the city to continue elevating growth in the marine sector are reflected in Plymouth City Council's new Oceansgate Enterprise Zone development.

The Marine Business Technology Centre is a key asset at the new waterside commercial site, offering in-depth product testing and development of marine-related technologies, supported by the vast knowledge and assets from the University of Plymouth and wider network of expert marine organisations.

Thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund, the project allows a response to sector wide problems by testing facilities on fixed, local and global scales.

The project is led by Plymouth City Council, and delivered through the University of Plymouth, Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the Marine Biological Association, and the University of Exeter.
